Dr. Dre Sues “Rollin With Dr. Dre” Author For $100,000

Hip Hop super producer Dr. Dre is no stranger to the court room. The hitmaker who’s been involved in numerous lawsuits this year will be heading back to court after filing a $100,000 lawsuit against author and former friend, Bruce Williams.According to the lawsuit filed on Tuesday, October 28th, in L.A. County Superior Court, Dr. Dre claims he loaned Williams $101,377.85 and hasn’t seen a dime of the loan since.

Earlier this year, Williams released “Rollin’ With Dre: An Insider’s Tale of the Rise, Fall and Rebirth of West Coast Hip Hop,”  which chronicled the struggles of Dre and others in hip hop revealing such gems as “Suge Knight once gave Snoop Dogg a BMW 850 two-seater for his birthday in blue — Crip colors. Snoop enjoyed it until cops surrounded it one day — it had been stolen.”

Since it’s release, the book hasn’t brought about the best of luck for the good doctor. During a launch party for the written work, two men were hit from gunshots fired, causing the celebrations to end abruptly.

One of the man was fatally wounded while the other was left in critical condition.

Rick Ross Denying CO Shit Again?

ATLANTA — Rick Ross will not confirm or deny anything about his alleged past as a prison guard. He says it’s too ridiculous to worry about. And the Boss laughs off all the jokes and supposedly Photoshopped images of him that have circulated the Internet. He’s having the time of his life.

“Anytime a rumor comes up like, ‘Is Ross is getting married?’ I don’t address it, because that’s my life,” he said Thursday in Atlanta. “At the same time, if it’s some haterism going on, I’m most definitely not gonna entertain it, because it’s not trill. I define trill as being successful, doing you, being creative, living your life. My music is very sincere to me.”

Besides being one of the nicest MCs with the wordplay right now, Ross owes part of his strong appeal to his rep on the street. As he records his third LP, Deeper Than Rap, he promises that everything he’s rapped regarding his street hustling is real.

“It’s very authentic,” he said. “I feel that no other artist could have endured this,” he added of the recent controversy.

“If you think I didn’t get no money, God bless your heart,” he continued about his time on the streets. “I had the P. Diddy watch at 19. I saw what they wanted, and I had it. I don’t get on the airwaves and tell people I’m out on bond now facing prison time right now and have been for the past year and a half. That’s not what I glorify. That’s not what I want my daughter to read about or my son to read about. You ever notice in all the rumors that they never bring up my record? They don’t want you to know the boy really does his thing. But I’m not finin’ to go and say, ‘Hey, [the online Department of Corrections documents are] inaccurate.’ … But that’s entertainment. I’m the best. You see me on the cover of XXL magazine with no shirt on. I’m living my dream.”

Ross’ Deeper Than Rap is coming at the top of 2009 on his own Maybach Music by way of Def Jam (though he’s still handling some business to get out of his Slip-N-Slide contract). It’s looking like the album will feature production (yes, production, as in beats) by T.I., Kanye West and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, among others. He just dropped a mixtape, Still the Trillest, with DJ Infamous and continues to keep a myriad of concert performances on his schedule. His popularity has not suffered from any of the rumors still dogging him. When you talk to Ross, grimaces are hard to find, and smiles come in abundance. He feels he’s at the most creative and competitive period in his career, and he certainly has more money than ever.

“When people write something, if it’s something that’s not authentic, they don’t know what I’ve lived,” he said. “They don’t know what I did; they’ll never know. If you think [what I talk about] is fake, don’t get yourself hurt out here. Don’t get it twisted. All you rappers trying to come up … don’t do that. You’ll learn the hard way. I don’t do no threatening; I keep it 100. When you see me, keep it 100. Say what you feel. That’s what I do, that’s what I always do. What I come from and what I represent, you can never disrespect it.”

Paul Wall Not Hurt But Acquaintance Killed

Houston rapper Paul Wall was not injured/killed as rumors were floating around the net this morning stated. Unfortunately though, his friend, Emanuel “Lil E” Hobbs, 23, was slain in a gunfight that left three others injured.

“Swishahouse and Paul Wall want to let everyone know that he is fine and alive,” a representative told an online publication today. “The concerns and questions are overwhelming, we thank you for your concern.”

Officers found the dead man lying on a driveway about 11:15 a.m. The wounded men apparently fled, police said. They later showed up at area hospitals, where they were being questioned later Thursday.

Benzino Recalls Past Relationship W/ 50 Cent, Denies Fat Joe Photoshop Rumors..

Hip-Hop Weekly publisher Raymond “Benzino” Scott is back to set the record straight. In an exclusive with SOHH the former Source owner reveals an interesting experience he shared with rival 50 Cent back in 2000 and also addresses recent allegations made by Fif regarding certain photoshopped images.

In an interview with MTV last week, 50 (born Curtis Jackson) rejected rumors that the altered images that appeared on the fake Hip-Hop Weekly cover of Benzino with Fat Joe’s wife, was his doing. Instead Fif blamed Zino and HHW, implying the publication printed the altered image to stir controversy between the rival rappers.

Insulted that 50 would insinuate Hip-Hop Weekly would publish such an image, Benzino phoned in to SOHH to clear the air.

“50 is real cunning at what he does,” Benzino told SOHH. “I’m not into photoshopping. What him and Joe got going on- is between him and Joe. I don’t have nothing to do with that. I think [50] just wanted to answer that, just to see if there was a division between me and Joe, which there isn’t.”

On March 24, 2000, outside of New York’s defunct recording studio Hit Factory, the heated rivalry between Murder Inc. and a then up and coming 50 Cent, took a turn for the worse when an altercation ensued between Ja Rule’s and 50’s camps, resulting in Fif being stabbed by Ramel “Black Child” Gill, a rapper affiliated with the Inc.

Three males, including Fif were treated for stab wounds at Roosevelt hospital.

Today, it is still unclear on what exactly transpired that night, as both camps have released conflicting accounts, but Zino revealed to SOHH that after the brawl, he aided Mr. Jackson and made sure the embattled rapper arrived at the hospital safely.

“The first-time I met 50 was when the situation at the Hit Factory had happened with him and Murder Inc,” Benzino recalled. “I was with the Made Men and we were recording at Sony studios which was a couple of buildings down. One of the guys from the group, Mr. Jesus, had bought 50 in. At that time he came down and said [50] wanted to meet me or whatever, so he came in the lounge and showed us he got stabbed.

At the time, Benzino only knew of Fif through his producers Tone and Poke. According to Benzino, a wounded 50 stepped into the studio to meet and greet him, but once he saw the rapper was hurt, he secured a vehicle for 50 to take.

“We had a car service when I was with the Source at the time,” he explained, “and I called [50] a car and sent him on his way. Everything was good. We haven’t spoken to each other since, with the whole Source and Eminem thing. I guess it was really impossible for the communication to take place.”

According to Benzino, he and 50 shared a mutual respect for one another. The two actually spoke about collaborating on a track.

“I saw him in Puerto Rico,” Zino recalled. “I guess that was the time he just signed with Eminem. [50] came over and gave me a hug and said ‘what up.’ We started talking about doing a track together through Sha Money. [But] once the Eminem thing took place, all of that fell apart.”

Today, Benzino looks to keep the nonsense in the past, but he believes the damage, which ensued between him and Em, may have forever sealed any future reconciliation.

“I’m a keep it 100, there’s so much damage and so much bullsh*t as far as his side of the fence and my side of the fence, I don’t see that happening,” Benzino explains. “[But] I’m not one of these *ssholes. I’m always for the bigger picture.”

Exclusive: Fabolous Lawyer: “He Was Not At The Club”..

A lawyer for Hip-Hop star Fabolous has stated that the rapper was not in club Duvet in Manhattan when a childhood friend was stabbed to death Friday morning (November 23).

Reports stated that police wanted to interview Fabolous about the murder of 25-year-old Shamel McKinney, a longtime associate who was stabbed to death by three unidentified assailants inside of the plush nightclub.

According to the NYPD, sources have placed the rapper in the club shortly before McKinney was stabbed to death, as another altercation between two women broke out.

Fabolous’ lawyer Alberto Ebanks, of Ebanks & Sattler LLP., spoke in detail to AllHipHop.com about the incident and stated that his client was no where near the scene of the crime.

“He was not at the club and the police themselves have verified he was not at the club,” Fabolous’ lawyer Alberto Ebanks told AllHipHop.com. “It would not have been a crime even if he was in the club when the altercation occurred, so it’s not like this is an alibi of any sorts. We are not on the defensive because Fabolous has nothing to do with any of this.”

Members of Fabolous’ entourage told reporters that he was at the club earlier in the evening, but that the superstar rapper had left long before the bloody altercation.

McKinney, of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, was a member of Fabulous Street Family and bore the group’s logo on a medallion he was sporting the night he was murdered.

Detectives recovered a bloody seven inch folding knife from a nearby dumpster and are currently reviewing surveillance footage for clues as they search for suspects.

“Fabolous was home with his friends,” Ebanks told AllHipHop.com. “Unfortunately, you cannot sell newspapers unless you throw someone’s name in it. It sounds like he is being mentioned simply because he knows someone who died.”

Ebanks also said that Fabolous was mourning the loss of his close friend, who was murdered just days after the pair celebrated the rapper’s 30th birthday, at another New York nightclub, decked out in tuxedos.

“He has spoken to that persons family and offered their condolences,” Ebanks said. “He feels the way anyone would feel in this situation - terrible.”

Fabolous’ Associate Stabbed To Death At New York Nightclub..

A 25 year old man who reportedly had ties to rapper Fabolous was stabbed to death at a New York club on Thanksgiving night (November 22).

According to CBS 2 HD, Shamal McKinney and his brother partied with Fabolous and friends at Club Duvet on Thursday night.

At around 3:30 a.m., McKinney staggered out of the club with wounds in his torso and encountered officers who were called to the plush nightspot for an unrelated incident. McKinney died on arrival at St. Vincent’s Hospital.

McKinney’s brother refused to speak on his sibling’s murder but revealed that Fabolous was long gone before the stabbing occurred.

Authorities found a bloody knife in a dumpster near the club and have not revealed a motive behind the killing. No suspects have been named or arrested.

“Words cannot express how much we’re going to miss him,” said McKinney’s godmother, Zella Robinson.

“He was a happy, happy person,” stressed McKinney’s aunt, Shirley Hartman. “ I’m just sorry it had to happen to a good person.”

The club’s owners refused to comment on the incident.

Young Buck Denies Robbery, Explains Situation

After rumors, stemming from a MediaTakeout.com report asserted that Nashville rapper Young Buck may’ve been robbed outside a club in his hometown this weekend, those allegations have been falsified. “Ain’t nobody robbed me for a thing,” Buck told HipHopDX Monday afternoon. However, there was an exchange over jewelry wherein the rumor may have started. “There was an altercation between me and a dude here in Tenessee and during that altercation, I lost a watch which came off my arm. But as far as someone taking my Bentley, my Bentley is sitting pretty without a scratch on it, right here in my driveway and my jewelry is right here too. I guess this is what people wanted to happen. I didn’t get robbed for anything.”

The G-Unit star, known for his impulsive temper and fiery words added to the rumor-starters, “I don’t owe anyone money and the dude who I had the altercation with knows me, and I know him, and we already had our words since the altercation happened, so whoever is posting this or commenting on this recklessly is trying to take Buck down but you can’t take Buck down.” The initial grumblings of the piece added that the rapper’s jewelry were being posted for sale just hours after the robbery.

Buck’s second major-label album Buck The World is in stores now.

Mistah FAB, Royce Da 5′9 Officially End Beef

Those who haven’t heard on the internet, Detroit’s Royce Da 5′9 and Oakland rapper Mistah FAB have been immersed in a war of words, trading diss freestyles back and forth as of late.

The beef began after Royce spit a line for Mistah FAB on a freestyle over Jay-Z’s “Blue Magic” track, following an Allhiphop sponsored battle in New York, in which Mistah FAB was declared the winner.

On the freestyle, Royce raps “$100,000 chain like my face up, tell Mistah FAB, get his cash when he wakes up.” Although Royce has stated in a recent interview that the line wasn’t meant as disrespect, Mistah FAB took it that way, and went directly at Royce, dropping a full diss track called “Bodied”, in which Royce responded with “Who Got Bodied?”

Well, after the most recent track by FAB, “C.I.A.”, a 12-minute freestyle over Tupac’s “Hitem Up,” Nas’ “Ether,” and Jay-Z’s “The Takeover,” it looks as the heated battle is now over.

According to Mistah FAB, the two rappers have spoken recently, and decided to end the beef. One reason being that they didn’t wanna start any tension between their two cities, of which local MCs had begun to take offense to some of the lyrics thrown back and forth.

“This sh– is not really the rappers, but their entourage that keep beef going, they blow it out of proportion,” Mistah FAB told BallerStatus.com in a statement. “Me and [Royce Da 5′9] know it’s rap. But it started becoming Detroit verse the Bay. When it started going in that direction, we felt we needed to dead it and focus on getting money. We talked for close to an hour and things are cool now.”

The short lived battle was getting very intense, so it’s good to see that it has officially ended.

At press time, Royce Da 5′9’s camp had yet to release a statement.

Cheerleader Assaulted By Da Brat Hires Power Attorney Willie Gary

Shayla Stevens, the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader who was allegedly assaulted by Da Brat earlier this month, has hired prominent attorneys Willie Gary and CK Hoffler and their firm, Gary, Williams, Finney, Lewis, Watson and Sperando P.L., AllHipHop.com has learned.

Gary and Hoffler’s high powered, Florida-based law firm will represent Stevens against not only Da Brat, but Jermaine Dupri’s new nightclub, Studio 72.

“Our client was physically attacked by Da Brat and has suffered significant head injuries, permanent disfigurement as well as mental distress,” Gary said.

Da Brat, born Shawntae Harris, allegedly struck Stevens with a 1.7 liter bottle of rum during a shoving match in the club in the early hours of November 1.

According to Gary, Stevens has suffered permanent injuries to her face, as well as possible neurological damage.

Additionally, she will miss upcoming games as cheerleader for the Falcons, as well as a scheduled role on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne sitcom.

“Ms. Stevens is a cheerleader, choreographer, dancer, actress and entrepreneur, whose career has been greatly affected by this incident,” Gary said.

Gary, who is nicknamed “The Giant Killer” for his judgments against corporations, is noted for winning a $240 million jury verdict against Walt Disney, for stealing his clients idea for a theme park.

He also claims that the owners of Club 72, hesitated to contact police due to the negative publicity the assault would cause.

A manager who witnessed the assault allegedly fail to help Stevens seek proper medical attention and she was eventually taken to the hospital by a family member.

Gary also said that prior to the assault, club owners and security had the opportunity to remove Da Brat from Club 72, but failed to do so.

Da Brat is charged with was charged with aggravated assault. She was released on $50,000 bond as a result of the incident.
